United to Christ, United to Each Other

This week, we welcome our middle and high schools students as they lead our worship services. Please be praying for them as they prepare, and come ready to worship!

For Meditation

No one will argue with the call for unity, we’re living in a time where this cry is on the hearts and lips of so many people. We as the church have the one source of unity. Without this source, all other kinds of unity will ultimately fall short. Because we’re united to Christ we’re united to each other, but the question for us is, are we living out this unity?

We need to consider what we can do to live out this unity that only Jesus provides.  As we, the church, live out this unity we will bless one another and be blessed, and we will also be a blessing to our community by living a life worthy of the calling we have from Christ.

Philippians 2:1-4

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Due to the students preaching this week, we will not be providing a Reflection Guide. We'll pick them up again next week with our new sermon series!
