Tell us about what you do here at Third:

I oversee our communication strategies to share how God is moving in and through Third and to keep our church family connected.

What is your favorite book(s)?

I have too many favorites. Non-fiction: I love anything by Sara Hagerty (especially Unseen and The Gift of Limitations), Adorning the Dark by Andrew Peterson, and This Too Shall Last by KJ Ramsey. Fiction? Give me historical, thriller/suspense, or crime/mystery-types. Throw in Anne of Green Gables, too, for good measure.

What is your favorite thing to do in Richmond?

If you ask my husband, he’ll tell you it’s hanging out with him. I also love our local restaurants (shoutout to the donut & ice cream shops with actually good dairy-free options!), the diversity of neighborhoods that make Richmond unique, and, of course, that my family is here.

Tell us more about you, your family and what you like to do when you’re not working:

My husband, John-Mark, and I have 5 children – our son Jacob, in Heaven, and 4 at home who keep us laughing (and our hearts are full!) We live in the Northside where I love going on walks and getting to know my neighbors. I have many creative interests but I especially love to write.

Why are you excited to be a part of Third Church?

We visited Third the second Sunday we were in Regency and never looked back! We were drawn to the warmth, vibrancy, and genuine faith embodied here. I especially love Third’s rich history and passion for missions and for the renewal of our city and world. I am so thankful to be joining our staff and serving our community in this way.
