Registration opens May 12!
For the past four years, several hundred of our people have loaded their cars and headed to Shrine Mont for a weekend of worship, teaching, prayer, eating, playing, and soaking in the beauty of the Virginia mountains in the fall. Please join us for the fifth annual Fall Retreat! As we have each year, we will explore a theme of being rooted together. We will hear from a gifted speaker and worship. We will also have a lot of time for play and rest.
Programming for children fourth grade and younger will be provided during the worship and teaching sessions.
Youth programming will be available during most of the worship and teaching sessions.

TRANSPORTATION: Will be on your own (no rental vans or buses). It is important to note that you will need to leave Richmond, Virginia by mid-afternoon to arrive by dinner time.
LODGING: The retreat center has several different housing options including a hotel, small cottages, and bunk cabins. These accommodations are charming, clean, and rustic. There are options for singles to stay with friends and families to stay together. Housing is assigned to registrants based on needs expressed during registration.
GENERAL ITINERARY: The itinerary will be centered around being drawn to Jesus and together as a Third Church family. We will have large group sessions where we will worship, hear testimonies and teaching, and pray. On Saturday afternoon, you will have the freedom to go at your own pace. There will be activities for a range of ages and abilities or you can sit on the porch and catch up with a friend. The evening entertainment promises to be upbeat and fun as it has been in years past. Finally, the nights will come to an end with a roaring bonfire, if the weather permits.
CHILDREN’S PROGRAMMING: Childcare (ages 0-2), children’s programming (ages 3-4), student programming (K-4th) and youth programming (5th-12th) will be provided during the worship and teaching sessions. Given this is a lay-led retreat with limited resources, we are asking everyone to pitch in! If you have a child 0-12, one parent from each family will be asked to sign up to serve in a children’s programming slot as you register.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: This retreat is led by a team of volunteers. We could use help to support hospitality, logistics, or children/youth program teams. Additionally, if you have any skills you would like to share as one of our afternoon activities, please let us know!
