Come to this (free!) lunch on Sunday, Sept. 22 in Room 101 to hear from Steve Quakenbush.

Steve and his wife Janice are part of a global team providing knowledge and expert services to help language communities worldwide gain access to the Scriptures in the languages and media that speak to their hearts. After many years of residence in the Philippines, they now serve from Grand Rapids, MI. In his role as Director of Strategic Initiatives with the Language Services unit of SIL International (Wycliffe’s primary partner organization), Steve provides leadership for various Translation Initiatives. These relate to the development and production of academic and practical helps for Bible translators and translation consultants, as well as the integration of innovative approaches to oral Bible translation. Steve has a special interest in opportunities and challenges among refugee populations.
