Pioneers

Jonathan and Mika Hicks serve in Fukuoka, Japan, seeking to make disciples among Japanese people and train them to make disciples. Currently, they serve their local Japanese church by working to strengthen the families and individuals there through teaching children's Sunday school, leading Bible study, participating in prayer meetings, and helping with various church ministries including evangelistic tract distribution and evangelistic outreach events. Mika also has a monthly women's Bible study for the purpose of strengthening women who are young in their faith and helping them grow as disciples of Jesus. They also develop relationships with non-Christians in their local community in preparation for a church-planting effort in eastern Fukuoka in partnership with their Japanese pastor.
