Tell us about what you do here at Third:

Third Church is home to a wonderful tutoring ministry serving immigrants and refugees in the Richmond area. I’m responsible for coordinating the details of the program.

What is your favorite book(s)?

I return to That Hideous Strength by C.S. Lewis very often; I can nearly quote all of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens; and I can always sit down with a Flannery O’Connor short story.

What is your favorite thing to do in Richmond?

My favorite thing to do is be with my friends and our children, and Richmond is a great place to do it. I love walking in my neighborhood on the Northside with my family and visiting the parks. You will catch us at The Smoky Mug often!

Tell us more about you, your family and what you like to do when you’re not working:

I love children and I love teaching! I’m looking forward to my own family growing and more time to be with my children and husband, Chipper. I love to be available for friends and their children as well. You’d probably find us all practicing our reading or learning about plants, if I have anything to say about it.

Why are you excited to be a part of Third Church?

Third is full of people who invest deeply in the work of God over years. I am honored to serve in a role where we as the church have an opportunity to change the course of students’ lives, of whole generational lines. I am always in awe to see our covenant partners shoulder the task because of their love for the Lord and the love of their neighbor, and I’m grateful to be a small part of this community.
