Describe your primary responsibilities at Third:

I keep up with congregation prayer requests & needs, communicate with pastoral staff, elders & deacons, and track visits and calls.

What are your favorite books?

Currently I am fascinated with Theo of Golden.

What is your favorite thing about Richmond?

I like hiking along the James River.  I also enjoy listening to live music (especially outdoors like at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens.)

Tell us about your family and what you like to do for fun: 

I am originally from Columbus, Ohio. I moved to Richmond with my family in 1999. Both of my kids live in the area. My daughter, Sarah, is married and has 2 children. My son, Matthew, recently married and they live in Church Hill. I feel very blessed that most Sunday evenings we all gather to have family dinner.

Why are you excited to be a part of Third Church?

I transferred my membership to Third in 2018 after moving from Midlothian to the city (because of divorce and selling a larger family home). Being part of Third has helped me find my identity as a true Jesus follower. There are so many places to plug in and get involved in the Third Church family. I pray that each and every person (young & old) finds their place here.
