Where will you grow with us this year?

There are plenty of upcoming opportunities to find your place here at Third.

Join us for our All-Church Picnic

Join us in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, August 30 from 11:00 a.m. — 1:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for a morning of food and fellowship. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with your Parish Area, enjoy catching up with friends (and meeting new ones) after a scattered summer, and enjoy an old-fashioned church potluck!

Come to a Parish Picnic

Each of our eight Parish Areas is hosting a Picnic this fall! These picnics are a great way to connect with the people of Third who live closest to you. If you attend Third, you already belong to a Parish Area which means you already have a standing invitation to a dinner.

Dates and locations of each Parish Picnic are listed below. Look for an email soon from your Parish Area Leaders for more information about your specific event.

Visit a Parish Group

Parish Groups are one way to connect more deeply within your Parish Area, and the shared life of our church, this fall. These groups are made up of 10-20 adults, plus teens and children. They are always open to newcomers and meet twice monthly in homes for a meal, fellowship, conversation, prayer, and mission. Most re-engage for the year in September.

Find a Parish Group near you and reach out to the leaders for more information.

Attend a Sunday school class

Our Sunday school hour at 9:30 a.m. is a great way to deepen your knowledge and understanding of God, while meeting friends and building relationships here at Third.

Our classes this year kick off on Sunday, August 30. All classes for children (ages 2+), teens, and adults will gather in their new classrooms for the fall.

Tutor immigrant and refugee students

This important and vibrant program matches volunteers with a child to meet with every week on Wednesday evenings. We are recruiting over 100 tutors, and are looking for subs to step in when tutors can’t be there. No experience is necessary so please consider serving!

Find community through service

Each Sunday and throughout the week, there are many opportunities to serve your Third community and our neighbors. Serving on a team is a wonderful way to care for those around you, pursue faithfulness, and be a part of the fabric of this community!

Learn more about all the different ways to serve, and sign up to learn more.

Explore Covenant Partnership

Are you interested in learning more about Third Church and becoming a Covenant Partner? Please join us for this class! You’ll learn about our mission and vision as a church, our core beliefs and theology, and our denomination’s (ECO) polity. You’ll also hear from Corey, Ed, and other leaders and covenant partners, all while building community with your class of newcomers.

Got kids in 5-12th grade?

Fifth and sixth graders are invited to join us for Club 56 meetings on Thursday nights in the basement. We’ll begin the year together with a big dinner on September 10 at 6:00 p.m.

Middle and high school students will begin their weekly gatherings on Sunday nights from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., starting August 30.
