Discipleship classes for adults

Beginning Week of April 25

SUNDAY CLASSES

THE GOSPEL OF MARK
Sundays, 9:00 a.m. - Zoom link (PW: 478901)
Led by: David Carroll and David Skove

Join us for expository Bible teaching of the Gospel of Mark in the tradition of “Inductive Bible Study.” Our teachers ask the three classic questions of each text: (i) what does it say; (ii) what did it mean to them (the original audience); and (iii) what does it mean to us? This class is centered on understanding and applying God’s Word for his glory and our growth as his people.

RENEWAL OF THE HEART: ABIDING IN CHRIST THROUGH SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINES
Sundays, 10:30 a.m.* - Zoom link (PW: 186830)
Led by: Brad Houff and Mary Damon

As Christians we know that in Christ, God is making all things new — and that includes me and you! We are new creations, and our lives are hidden with Christ in God. The new has come. The old has gone. But if this season has taught us anything, it has taught us that changing our outward behaviors will not magically change our hearts. We need transformation. We need renewal. This continuation of the block 3 class will include further teaching on the biblical foundations for a number of distinct spiritual disciplines, time to experiment with new practices in a safe community of friends, opportunities to debrief in small groups, and testimonies of people whose have experienced soul transformation through Spiritual Disciplines.
