Family Life Education

Third supports the efforts of The Family Foundation in the area of Family Life Education (FLE). FLE topics can be quite sensitive, and opinions about them vary widely, so it’s essential that parents be made aware of what is being taught in the FLE curricula so they can determine what is best for their child. Increasingly, curricula are being developed that contain graphic and sexually explicit materials, as well as messages that conflict with many families' fundamental values. For the past 35 years, The Family Foundation has been dedicated to monitoring FLE curricula and even attending school board meetings to provide parents the best information possible and express concerns to school administrators on parents' behalf. The Family Foundation’s vigilance and oversight continues to be of great value to Virginia parents.
