Launched into mission by Third Church in 2007, the CFCC now serves over fifty churches.  Serving individuals, couples, and families, their goal is to make biblical counseling by licensed mental health professionals accessible to anyone who has need, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay.  They treat a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, family/marital relationships, addiction, conflict, grief, abuse, premarital counseling, trauma, and spiritual conflicts.  If they can’t help, they connect clients to someone who can.

In order to provide the highest quality Christian counseling, therapists at the CFCC are licensed to practice in Virginia as LPC, LMFT and LCSW’s.  Each therapist also affirms a shared statement of faith.  Counselors use a wide range of helpful therapeutic interventions which are based on reliable behavioral research as well as on sound biblical principles.  Therapists meet together regularly to discuss relevant research and its consistency with scripture as well as to pray for clients and for their healing in Christ.

Based on the biblical principle of Christian community, a flexible fee schedule is set up so that the body of Christ can minister to one another and everyone can access services.  No one requesting counseling services is turned away based on their inability to pay.
