Haiti Outreach Ministries

For 30 years, Haiti Outreach Ministries (HOM) has been sharing the message of God’s goodness with the people of Haiti through evangelism, education, and health care. With the faithful support of many deeply valued friends including congregations, individuals, and foundations from across the United States, HOM’s thriving ministry now operates on four campuses, serving with its Haitian partner, Mission Communautaire de l’Eglise Chrétienne des Cités (MICECC).

The work of HOM is focused in the following key areas:

  • Evangelism. Over 3,200 people gather for worship at churches on three campuses. HOM has raised funds to build these churches, provide pastoral stipends, and provide for Vacation Bible School.

  • Education. Over 1,800 students are enrolled in three elementary schools and one secondary school, where they receive a superior education in a Christian environment. Students also receive a daily hot meal and nutritional supplements to give them the nourishment needed for academic success. HOM’s student sponsorship program supports this work, providing critical funding to cover school costs and offering U.S. supporters the chance to fundamentally impact the life of a Haitian child.

  • Healthcare. HOM operates a medical clinic which offers healthcare and dental services in an area where there are few options. The clinic sees approximately 25,000 patients per year. Volunteer teams from the U.S. supplement the care provided by the Haitian staff.

  • Clean water. As an extension of their healthcare work, HOM provides access to clean water to the communities at large where they serve. Over 900,000 gallons of water are distributed annually.
