Sports are a great way to connect with other men, including those who do not know Jesus. Come join in the fun and get involved with men's sports at Third.
We generally field THREE men’s basketball teams in the Henrico County Men's Church league: one for the highly skilled players (Team A) and the other(s) for the not-as-highly skilled (but highly motivated) players or those working there way back into basketball shape.
Recruiting (oops – sign-ups) occurs in the Fall (early-October) and league games begin in December, with games normally played on Tuesdays or Thursdays. We can typically add players through December 30, depending on our roster size and "injured reserved" status.
Team A: Greg Ellen, 560-6865, e-mail Greg
Team A (Blue too): TBD
Team C (Blue 3rd): Charlie Ellison, 364-2772 or e-mail Charlie
Men's Golf – Third Golfers In Fellowship
Each year T.G.I.F., Third Golfers in Fellowship, hosts an annual golf outing so we can play together and invite friends and family who are not Third members to join in the fun! After the golf tournament, there is a dinner with an inspirational speaker. Included in the very reasonable price are: greens fees and cart; practice balls set up one hour before start; dinner after the golf round; short inspirational message after dinner; prizes awarded for various things (long drive, closest to the pin on Par 3's, best dresser, etc.). Our goal is to get 144 golfers and to have a hole sponsor for each hole, and proceeds go to a ministry or mission. For more information on this annual Sam Jackson Golf Tournament, click here.
The summer season is over, but if you're interested inlaying next year, please e-mail Cam Childress or call @ 477-4819.
We typically play games on Thursday night's beginning week of March 24.
We've played in the softball leagues for over 20 years so please join us!
All skill levels are invited! The roster is limited so please let Cam know as soon as possible.
Cost: $50 per player (league fee). An additional $20 fee if you do not live in the City of Richmond.
Location: The field across from the Arthur Ashe Center on the Boulevard.
