It is the mission of The Family Foundation of Virginia to empower families by applying a biblical worldview and founding principles to culture and public policy. The organization seeks to establish the enactment of Virginia laws for a safe, prosperous and wholesome climate for families through citizen advocacy, direct advocacy and church involvement. All of its public policy decisions are based on the principles of life, marriage, parental authority, constitutional government and religious liberty.
The Family Foundation’s work starts at home with the family, equipping parents and youth with a variety of networks and resources. This includes our Worldview Academy, where high school and college age students receive biblical worldview education, as well as internship opportunities for hands-on civic education.
Virginia pastors connect to The Family Foundation through its Virginia Pastor Network, a denominationally, regionally and ethnically diverse group of pastors attempting to illustrate a unity in the body of Christ on pro-family issues.
Team Timothy is the prayer arm of The Family Foundation. Team Timothy provides comprehensive weekly prayer guides to help Christians fulfill 1 Timothy 2, the call to make intercession for governmental leaders.
In Richmond, The Family Foundation advocates for pro-family values in the Virginia General Assembly, strategizing with elected officials and testifying in legislative committee meetings.
