InterVarsity, University of Richmond

InterVarsity is an interdenominational campus ministry whose purpose is “to establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture, and God’s purposes in the world.”

People from all across the nation and from around the world come to the University of Richmond. Though the undergraduate student body numbers fewer than 3,000, there are more than 70 countries represented. InterVarsity has the opportunity to help these students come to Jesus and follow him as Savior and Lord.  They also have the opportunity to help those students who are already walking with Christ, from any background, to grow in their relationship with him.

This happens in experiential ways right on the UR campus. InterVarsity at UR is centered on student-led small groups. This allows students to experience scripture and fellowship together, to bear witness to Christ in community, and to develop leadership as they serve their peers on campus.
