Nehemiah’s Workshop is part of CHAT’s (Church Hill Activities and Tutoring) Work Leadership Institute that seeks to equip youth and young people with skills and experiences necessary for long-term vocational success. Nehemiah’s Workshop provides a gathering place for youth and young adults to learn about various aspects of home repairs, tool skills, and woodworking. Nehemiah’s Workshop runs a variety of work and training programs including a young adult leadership program, a youth apprenticeship program, and elective and life skills classes. Participants work alongside CHAT staff and volunteer on projects including picnic tables, benches, porch swings and much more. Nehemiah’s Workshop incorporates math and biblical teaching into its training.
