Richard Haney

Frontier Fellowship

Richard began serving as Executive Director of Frontier Fellowship, formerly Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship (PFF), in 2014. He previously served as pastor of several Richmond Presbyterian churches including Third (associate pastor, 1979-1989). Richard was the founding pastor of Swift Creek Presbyterian (1989-2003). He also served five congregations as interim pastor from 2003 to 2014. In 2014, Richard received his PhD from Middlesex University in London and the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies. Richard currently serves as Adjunct Professor of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Frontier Fellowship is a mobilizing mission agency serving American churches since 1981. PFF was founded by Ralph Winter to enable Presbyterians to become involved in efforts to reach and to serve the unevangelized people groups of the world. Frontier Fellowship seeks to engage congregations and individuals in God’s mission among unreached peoples. Their motto is: “For every people, an indigenous church; for every church, a mission vision.” Richard leads a staff of associate directors and administrative personnel numbering 17. The National Of ce headquarters is located in Rich eld, MN.

Richard and Pam have three married daughters. Charlotte and her family live in Newport News. Emily and Mark Davis are covenant partners at Third. The Haneys have nine grandchildren. Pam is in her 20th year serving international students at Virginia Commonwealth University.
