10:00 a.m.: Sunday school hour
From September through June during the 10:00 a.m. hour, we offer Sunday School to all our children and students (2 years old through high school).
In the summer, we encourage families to worship together in the Sanctuary, and to join us for our intergenerational class in the Fellowship Hall, My House in Mission, from June 16–July 28.
We believe it’s important to learn—even from a young age—to worship with your whole church community, and the summertime is the perfect time to model that with your children!
We take the responsibility of caring for your children while they are at Third very seriously. We strive to create a nurturing environment of safety and security.
• SAFETY •
We take the security of our classrooms seriously. All of our volunteers and paid childcare staff are background checked.
• WIGGLE ROOM •
A Wiggle Room is available if you need to leave the service with your little one. You’ll be able to watch the service via streaming. The room is located in Room 129. Exit through the back of the sanctuary, cross the courtyard, enter the double doors, and it is the first door on the right.
• CLEAN •
We clean our nurseries every week before they are used, and conduct a thorough deep clean of each classroom on a monthly basis.
• ALLERGY-CONSCIOUS •
Please note allergies on the sign-in sheet (and tell the teacher). We only serve Cheddar Goldfish as snacks for toddler classes and above.
Children ages 2 through 6th grade are taught by teams of volunteers who use the Tru curriculum by David C. Cook. This curriculum empowers the family to be the primary spiritual teacher and includes a weekly parent page emailed to families. The parent page previews the following Sunday’s lesson and includes a blessing for the family. We encourage families to use this parent page to spend time together in God's word each week. Ministry essentials for this curriculum include the following:
Scripture as authority
God’s ENTIRE story - from Genesis to Revelation, lessons share the good news of redemption through Jesus
God is central
If you would like to receive the weekly parent email, contact Tracie Meadows or Kathy White with your child’s name and age or grade or fill out this online form so we can add you to our church database.
