Class Helper: Assist paid workers and/or volunteer teachers. Sign up when you’re available for as often as you’d like!

Class Teacher: Prepare and lead Sunday school lesson (all materials supplied by Third!) for ages ranging from 18 months – 4th grade. You choose which age you would like to teach!

How are you interested in serving?

I'm interested in using my musical talent as a member of the worship team. Commitment is staying for both serving, and recurring as often as you'd like.

I'm interested in joining the Choir. Rehearsals on Thursdays, lead in Sunday services, commit to 2-4 weeks a month.

Both roles are easy commitments! One hour, once a month for one of our worship service times.

Ushering: Greeting and guiding worshippers to help them find seats and anything else they need.

Greeting: Welcoming people and helping them find their way to childcare check-in, classes, and worship.

Our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening ministry to 5th and 6th graders. Contact Andrea for questions: andreaw@thirdrva.org.

Sunday mornings (10:00 a.m.). Prepare and lead Sunday school lesson (all materials supplied by Third!). Commitment is 1-2x a month, Sept.-May.

Wednesday evenings (6:45 p.m.). Serve on a dynamic teaching team (all materials provided by Third!). Commitment is weekly, Sept-April.

Student Ministry

Our Sunday morning and evening ministry to students, 7th through 12th grade. Contact Andrea for questions: andreaw@thirdrva.org.

Sunday mornings (10:00 a.m.). Prepare and lead Sunday school lesson (all materials supplied by Third!). Commitment is 2x a month, Sept.-May.

Sunday evenings (7:00 p.m.). Help lead a Small Group -- broken down by age and gender. Third provides all materials! Commitment is weekly, Sept.-May.

Interested in joining our Welcome Coffee team?

Welcome Coffees happen monthly during the 10 o'clock hour and stand as our first step to learning about our community. You do not need to be present at each coffee to participate. Must be a covenant partner.

There are many opportunities to serve in Parish ministry.

Serve as a Parish Group Leader for a small group of people in your neighborhood. Commitment is twice a month meetings, plus some additional time for prep and prayer.

Host a Parish Group in your home. Commitment is typically twice a month for 1.5 hours.

Facilitate a men's, women's, families' or other kind of fellowship gathering in your Parish Area. Commitment depends on your schedule.

Host a Parish Leader training day in your home. Commitment is one Saturday in August and/or January.

Facilitate a Small Group: Prayer Triad (3 women), Mentor Group (3-4 women, 1 leader), Bible Study (15-20 women). Commitments range from weekly to monthly in morning or evening.

Help with Women's Ministry event planning and execution. Commitment is 1-3x a year
