Describe your primary responsibilities at Third:
I foster creative practices in the life and worship of Third and support artists of faith living in the wider world of the arts. I also work to help Third’s community understand and respond to cultural narratives (art, sexuality, science, politics) that compete with the Gospel for our attention and allegiance.
What is your favorite book?
Just Only John, by Jack Kent
What is your favorite thing to do in Richmond?
My favorite thing to do in Richmond is being at/in the river near our house--a surprisingly secluded and quiet stretch of water between the Train and Boulevard Bridges.
Tell us about your family and what you like to do for fun:
I love to explore and travel with Beth and my boys, looking at, learning about (and sometimes bringing home) the history, art, food, animals, rocks and sticks of places far and near.
Why are you excited to be a part of Third?
I am excited that Third has so many new lives and voices arriving to partner with seasoned leaders in re-energizing our historic role as a catalyst in Richmond and beyond. I love that Jesus is renewing (not replacing) all things--our community included.
