Sunday November 23, 2014

2:30-5:30 @ Second Baptist Church

Join us for afternoon worship and a reception

We have rounded the corner into fall and are in the last season of enjoying Steve Hartman as our senior pastor at Third Church. His eighteen years have been a time of fruitful growth for the church as our ministry has stretched across the metro region and around the globe, in new places and among new peoples. He has faithfully encouraged us in personal discipleship as well as corporate maturing. What a gift God provided Third by way of Steve’s ministry!

Because we expect that all of us will want to thank God in joyful worship and thank Steve, Susie, Tiffany and John in person for their ministry and friendship, we are planning a Celebration Sunday: a time of rejoicing in worship for God's faithful care of Third and honoring Steve for his faithful shepherding of our community.

On November 23, 2014 – the Sunday before Thankgiving – our whole church is invited to join together at 2:30 p.m., along with Steve's family and friends, for an afternoon service of worship and a reception to honor and thank the Hartmans. Second Baptist Church on River Road (at the Corner of River and Gaskins--map at right) is generously providing their lovely, large facilities for all of us to celebrate together on this special day!

A paper invitation will arrive at members' houses soon, and you can look below for additional details on childcare and registration arrangements.

Remember: there will be no morning worship or Sunday School at our Forest Avenue location that day.

Please join us in prayer for November 23 to be a day of great rejoicing for our church!
